WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has amassed many accolades throughout his nearly four-decade career. Though many wrestling fans may know of Angle’s storied career, younger people on TikTok might not be as familiar with him. After he joined the platform, his facial expression in one portion of the video made him famous with Gen Z.
“Hey, this is Kurt Angle, and I’m finally on TikTok,” he said in his announcement video. “If you don’t know who I am, I’m a six-time national champion, world champion, Olympic gold medalist, a former WWE and TNA Superstar, and I’ve dabbled in movies.”
“Now, I’m going to be here on TikTok talking about my diet, my workouts, my podcast [The Kurt Angle Show], and things that are near and dear to me,” he added.
He wrapped up the video by inviting people to watch his journey at this point in his career. “I want you guys to follow, and enjoy the ride,” he concluded. He then stared into the camera before asking the person filming, “You done? Good, I can take a nap now.”
His stare into the camera after he finished his spiel became the butt of many online jokes. TikTok users joked that it was how they’d stare into the security camera at the store as a child, react in a job interview if told their social media pages would be reviewed, or deal with being stuck in a conversation they don’t want to be in.
It looks like Angle can add “TikTok meme” to his long list of achievements.
