Finding the perfect holiday present for a loved one can take months of planning, but seeing their reaction when you finally give it to them is priceless. And yes, the same goes for gifting presents to your fur babies.

In a December 15 TikTok video, which was posted to the account @cosmo_thegoldendog, the nearly 1-year-old golden retriever’s tail wags just kept getting faster and faster. He was in utter shock that the present of his dreams was sitting there waiting for him.

The caption reads: “Today I got an early Christmas present and my happymeter just gets bigger and bigger.”

Santa Claus clearly outdid himself this year.

Cosmo had to sniff every single inch of the giant stuffed animal to make sure it was real and that it was all his.

The video, which raked in over 2.1 million views and 280,100 likes, had people obsessing over the adorableness. His reaction, which was full of joy, is every parent’s dream. All anyone could ever want is for both their kids and fur babies to have the happiest of Christmases.

“This is so cute, such a big baby,” wrote one viewer.

Another added: “He loves his present. Awwww!”

“Goldens are just so appreciative of everything and show so much love,” said TikTok user @ladymaybrown2006.

Best Toys for Golden Retrievers

As snuggly as this golden retriever is with the stuffed animal, not every golden will be as gentle. The breed is known to be lively and thrives off play. It’s important to have durable toys that can withstand their strong jaws.

A veterinarian shared with Rover, a pet sitter and dog walking company, that the best toys for golden retrievers, especially puppies are chew toys. These will help keep them from chewing on household items. Chew toys help alleviate boredom and anxiety.

The breed would also benefit from mental stimulation toys such as puzzles. Most puzzles include a treat reward system where the dog has to navigate and open different compartments to receive the treat. Dog owners can also make their own treat puzzle by wrapping up dog food in a towel and having their dog work through it to open it.

Other toy options include squeakers as they appeal to a dog’s hunting instinct, classic balls to run out their energy, and rope toys that provide great exercise as well as dental health.
