Feb. 10 (UPI) — Cher, Lenny Kravitz and Ozzy Osbourne are among the artists nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year.

Also making Saturday’s long list were Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, the Dave Matthews Band, Eric B & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction and Kool & the Gang.

Rounding out the roster were Oasis, Sinead O’Connor, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.

Nominees must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

This is the first time 10 out of 2024’s 15 nominees have made the long list, which will be winnowed down by about half for the actual induction ceremony.

The gala is slated to stream live on Disney+ with a special airing on ABC at a later date and available on Hulu the next day.

The date for the gala has not been announced yet.

“This remarkable list of nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates,” John Sykes — chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation — said in a statement.

“Continuing in the true spirit of Rock & Roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps.”

The class of 2023 included Kate Bush, Rage Against the Machine, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, George Michael, Willie Nelson and The Spinners.
