Two restaurants failed and rodent droppings and fly infestations were seen in the latest Tarrant County health inspections, according to data from the county.

There were 132 inspections from Dec. 3 to Dec. 9.

Tarrant County Public Health inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 29, a follow-up inspection is required.

No restaurants were closed.

Antojitos Mexicanos El Tio, a food truck at 3720 Peterson Drive East near Fort Worth, received nine demerits and failed due to a leak under a sink and the water at the warewashing sink only reached 90 degrees.

Chile Pepper Grill, a food truck at 4309 Hilldale Road near Fort Worth, failed with three demerits and was ordered to correct a leak and fix a slow drain at a sink.

Two places received over 29 demerits:

  • Moes Country Kitchen at 316 W. Main St. in Azle, 38

  • Sandy Beach Mart at 1850 North FM 730 road in Azle, 30

I Fratelli Pizza at 721 Keller Parkway in Keller was the only restaurant that had a follow-up inspection.

Inspectors observed a house fly infestation in the kitchen and dining room at Sandy Beach Mart.

Flies were also seen throughout the dry storage, around the back door, and around a compartment sink at Love Donuts at 8600 West I-30 in White Settlement.

Rodent droppings were seen on the floor in the storage area of Clown Burger Too at 5020 Stanley Keller Road in Haltom City.
