Another live music venue and bar in Fort Worth has closed.
Twilite Lounge announced via Facebook on Nov. 30 that its final night of music and laughs would be on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The lounge opened at 212 Lipscomb St. in Fort Worth in 2017.
The bar’s closure is the second venue in as many weeks to close down. Lola’s Fort Worth held its final night last week after 16 years of business in Cowtown.
On Tuesday, comedians from Claws Out Comedy and the band Squeezebox Bandits, where the final performers at Twilite’s.
“Today is the day. The last day of Twilite Lounge Fort Worth,” Twilite’s Facebook post read. “We don’t have words for what today means to us all. Thank you all for the love you have shown us over the years, but especially the last few days.”
Twilite Lounge first opened in Dallas in 2013, expanding to Fort Worth in 2017.
The Fort Worth lounge was described as a “New Orleans-themed neighborhood bar” that hosted live music and comedy throughout the week. The Dallas Twilite Lounge remains open at 2640 Elm St.
On Wednesday, Twilite Lounge Fort Worth took to Facebook to thank its many patrons and staff. The feeling was mutual in the comments as many patrons shared goodbye messages and thankful memories.
“Last night was incredible,” Twilite’s Facebook post read. “There are not adequate words to express what last night meant to us all.”
