Taylor Sheridan’s constellation of A-list stars just seems to expand as his Paramount+ universe explodes.

Sheridan’s latest production, “Landman,” has signed Demi Moore — star of “Indecent Proposal” (1983), “A Few Good Men” (1992) and “Ghost” (1990), according to a report from Variety. Moore will star alongside Billy Bob Thornton. This is the latest major TV role for Moore. She currently stars in “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans,” the second season of “Feud” from Ryan Murphy.

“Demi Moore is an iconic and extraordinary talent,” Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, says in a statement. “We are thrilled to have her join Billy Bob Thornton and the star-studded cast of ‘Landman,’ our next epic series from Taylor Sheridan.”

Moore appears in the regular role of Cami, “wife to one of the most powerful oil men in Texas and a friend of Tommy Norris (Thornton).”

“Landman” is co-created and executive produced by Sheridan and Christian Wallace. The show’s synopsis reads: “Landman is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”

Moore joins a cast of stars that include Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, and Paulina Chávez.

Production has begun with filming reported around Fort Worth. A wide net was cast for background actors with oilfield experience. Early this year, local agency Legacy Casting sought current and former TCU track and field athletes for a scene to be shot on campus next week.
