A video of a dog excited to greet his human friends outside in the snow has gone viral on TikTok.

The clip was posted by @lchevy6 and has had over 297,000 views since it was posted on January 18.

A message overlaid on the screen says: “Otto decides to brave the cold for his fav buddies.”

The video shows the dog pacing around inside a home before later running outside to be greeted by a person who appears to be one of the local garbage truck workers.

A caption shared with the post reads: “The cold couldn’t stop Otto this time. He loves Thursdays!”

The canine’s enthusiasm for the worker is unsurprising because dogs can form strong bonds with both human and canine companions.

The findings of a March 2019 study published in Scientific Reports showed that “dogs can form relationships of comparable qualities with both humans and other dogs” and “these relationships vary along multiple components across different partners.”

‘Let Me Out There Mom!’

The footage in the latest clip shows a dog walking around a coffee table inside a home while holding a dog toy in his mouth.

“Yes, I want to see them!” says another message across the screen, as the canine is shown standing up against a window and looking out while wagging his tail.

“Let me out there mom!” a subsequent note reads as the dog is seen walking across a snow-covered pavement just outside the window. He is met by one of the local garbage truck workers who walks towards the pup.

The worker is seen patting the dog and following him as the canine skips towards the home as another message says, “Come on in, I’m cold!…K, it’s this way!”

The dog is later seen standing in front of the house again, watching the garbage bins being emptied into the truck, as another note reads “where are you going?” before the clip ends.

TikTok users were delighted by the dog’s interaction with the garbage truck worker in the latest viral clip.

Karen noted: “You know this is that driver’s favorite part of his day!!”
